Heron today, gone tomorrow

Even though I have trouble identifying the various species, I do enjoy bird watching. The larger birds can be especially interesting. They will stand motionless then suddenly move towards something that catches their eye.
I photographed this bird (I think it's an egret) at a refuge in the Central Valley. I liked the framing provided by the tree limbs and the reflection in the water. I'd give you specific location of this shot but the bird is probably long gone by now.
