Read this: Steve Martin's Born Standing Up

I've enjoyed much of the work of Steve Martin, so I thought I would also enjoy his autobiography. I was right.
Born Standing Up chronicles his childhood through his first movie, with the focus on getting into, and out of, stand-up comedy. From an empty house at Knott's Berry Farm to New York in front of a crowd of 45 thousand, Martin takes you onto the stage and into his mind. It's not all happy feet and getting small.
Martin has a very easy style to read -- this would be a great book on tape -- I was able to get through the book's 204 pages in one evening.
