The Big Buy: Tom DeLay's Stolen Congress documents the investigation of illegal campaign contributions made to helped to ensure a Republican majority in the Texas state legislature. That majority allowed the redrawing of Congressional districts favorable to the GOP. Among companies singled out for breaking Texas law (which prohibits corporate donations in the state) are Sears, Bacardi and Cracker Barrel.
While I applaud documentaries that expose wrongdoing, I can't say I was surprised that crimes were committed.
The only surprise, to me, is that someone got caught.
