Voter's remorse

I like voting by mail, but it's sort of strange to have already mailed in my ballot, weeks before Election Day. I filled it out with a blue pen, like the directions said. It bothers me that a candidate I voted for already dropped out of the race. I feel like I should be able to get my ballot back. Next time I may not mail in my ballot until just before the election. Or maybe I'll use a pencil.

If you are wondering why I didn't wait to send it my ballot, it's because I didn't want it to get lost under the pile of paperwork that will be mailed at the very last minute: my income tax forms.

You raise a very good point, PhotoMattC; what DOES happen in such a case? It's like ordering something in the drive through, paying at window 1, then finding out they are all sold out when you reach window 2.

Then again, given that all that's left on the menu will cause severe abdominal pains and non-stop vomiting, what's the point of being forced to accept the substitute.

Therefore, the REAL question is and SHOULD be, where is the option to select "NONE OF THE ABOVE" on the ballot?

Hmmm..... think about the ramifications such an option would have on the system and politics. IF the majority sent the 'non of the above' message, could we derail the established process and perhaps influence change for the better?

Perhaps, but not in Florida, that's for sure.
