I've done a fair amount of hiking along creeks and rivers, but there is one spot along southern Oregon's Rogue River that is unique.
At this spot, near Union Creek, there is a sharp bend in the river . When you are standing on the trail at this location, the Rogue is on your right and on your left.
When I took the accompanying photo there was a similar view right behind me.
