Think, even though it's not what you think

Recent news reports that the famed Stonehenge may have been an ancient burial site reminded me of my visit to an interesting Stonehenge replica in Maryhill, WA.

The replica, seen here, was created by local land baron, Sam Hill. Wanting a monument to honor soldiers killed in World War I Hill, a Quaker, had the Stonehenge replica created to bring attention to the sacrifices of war -- which he felt were as pointless as those sacrfices thought to have occurred centuries earlier at the original Stonehenge.

Having never been to the original, I have no comparisons. After visiting the replica, I would say Sam Hill's point has been beautifully made.
