It was dark as I was leaving the Columbia Gorge so I decided to stop at Multnomah Falls for some night time shots. What you see here is a 15 second exposure of the lower falls.I think the shot is an interesting example of lighting and color temperatures. The color of the lower falls is due to lights on the observation patio, while the upper falls (behind the bridge) were lighted by the night sky, the stars and the moon. I adjusted the brightness slightly with Photoshop. It was so dark that I could not even see the image through my camera's viewfinder --I could only point, shoot and hope. It took a few tries.
This shot is also a good reminder of the amazing abilities of the human eye. While photographers need to be concerned with the different types/temperatures of light, our eyes have the ability to see all types of light without any difference.
